Introduction
Boracay: A Big Part of Our Lives
Boracay has been a great part of both our lives, and even a part of little Tokyo’s. Ave has been visiting this world famous beach ever since she was young, she’s even been here for Boracay’s party days when it was known for its beach party vibe. This is where Ave was able to meet and bond with a lot of her friends, actually getting the chance to talk and get to know them. She’s had many girl’s trips and bestie bonding sessions here as well.

Rehabilitated Paradise
Boracay is a great place to rest and recharge and we keep coming back for more. It is a consistently beautiful place that always gives us a reason to smile every time we return. Its rehabilitation urges us to keep beautiful places beautiful for other tourists and future generations to enjoy just as much as we do. While the hardcore party days of Boracay are in the past now, the party spirit is definitely still alive throughout the island.
The powder white sand and beautiful blue water of Boracay have a way of calming your body and soul. It is such a great place that even just 4 days on the island will help you reach maximum relaxation. Who knows, you might even be so relaxed that you’ll want to extend your vacation.

We list down the top places you should check out for each station of Bora’s White Beach, and we break it down further depending on your budget type as well. But if you are in the mood to really treat yourself and reach peak luxury then you might want to click on our list of the top 5 luxury hotels on the island.
Boracay’s White Beach Stations
Before we get into the 4 day itinerary, it is important to know about Boracay’s White Beach Stations. There are other beaches around Boracay, but White Beach is the most popular spot. It is the quintessential Boracay spot and it is a great starting point for other adventures. It is the perfect place to visit if it is your first time in Boracay, but it’s also a great place to keep coming back to for maximum relaxation.
White Beach is divided into 3 stations: Station 1, Station 2, and Station 3. Each station in Boracay has its own distinct vibe. Here is a really quick general description for each station.
Station 1
Station 1 probably has the best water and sand quality. The sand under your feet feels almost like powdered milk. The water doesn’t get too deep here but that doesn’t make it any less inviting and refreshing. Station 1 has a bit of an exclusive feel to it since it is very spacious and doesn’t tend to get as crowded as other places. At the middle of Station 1 is the iconic Willy’s Rock - a volcanic rock formation that rises out of the water which also has a mini altar and statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary on it. Seeing Willy’s Rock lets you know that you really are in Boracay.

Station 2
Station 2 is the center and heart of Boracay. While being a great place to rest and recharge, Boracay also has a thriving nightlife. Boracay was once hailed as the party island of the Philippines. It was a whole lot of fun while it lasted, but it also meant that the beach got very polluted. After its shut down and rehabilitation in 2018, it was cleaned and the local government has gotten more firm with its rules about cleanliness and keeping the beach clean and beautiful. Despite this, the party spirit never completely left Boracay. Party responsibly in Station 2, the home of many bars and restaurants. Station 2 is also where the famous D’Mall is located. Multiple restaurants and stalls are all placed together to fill your bellies and suitcases with quality purchases for you and your loved ones back at home. Since Station 2 is the central hub of Boracay, it may tend to get crowded, especially during sunset which is a whole spectacle on Boracay.

Station 3
Station 3 is the last part of White Beach to get developed. It has more greenery than the first two stations. Since this part is the last to be developed, it doesn’t have much of a nightlife to speak of but this makes it a more laidback spot.
Boracay Island, Station 3
Choosing which station to settle down in during your trip is an important part of the planning process, so make sure to think about what your priorities are for your accommodation location. But you don’t need to worry too much because each station is a moderate walk away from each other, or you can take a tricycle ride to get around as well.
And now, without further ado, here is our suggested 4 day itinerary for a Boracay vacation that will leave you feeling relaxed and recharged.
DAY 1: Settling In
To get to Boracay, the usual route that people take is to fly in from Manila to the Caticlan airport. The flight lasts a bit over an hour. Once you land, your journey continues by taking a van to the port where you will then board a boat to be taken to the island of Boracay. When your boat ride is over, you’ll need to ride a van once more to make it to your accommodation at last. Now this might sound like a lot of movement, and let’s be real - it is, but this should be made easier by booking your transfers with your accommodations to ensure a seamless process. They should be able to provide you with a van and boat ticket to make sure that you get where you’re staying safe and sound.
Dip Your Toes in the Boracay Beach
After all that traveling, you probably want to take your time settling down and regrouping in your accommodation. But once you are done gathering your bearings, treat yourself to your first dip in the Boracay water!
Depending on your flight, you may be able to catch a swim before lunch or even have a sunset swim before dinner. Put your feet on the powder soft sand and feel the refreshing blue water recharging you after a day of traveling.
Dinner and Rest OR Get the Party Started
This portion of the day is a little choose your own adventure type. Feel things out and whether you’re a little beat after the journey of getting to Boracay you can have an extended day at the beach and close with a great dinner then call it a night or you can get a taste of the Boracay party spirit.
In case you prefer the latter, here are a few bar and club recommendations that we have for you.
Epic - Just as the name suggests, this nightclub in Boracay will make sure that you have an epic night! In the day it is a beachfront resto-bar, but at night they move the tables around to make space for the dance floor and the party begins. They have an extensive drinks list and food that is delicious to snack on. Epic hires the best Boracay and Manila DJs around to keep you dancing on your feet the whole night long.

Exit Bar - If you aren’t a big fan of having the music be louder than conversations, try grabbing a drink at the Exit Bar. Here you’ll find a mix of tourists and locals all conversing with one another. This is a great place if you are in the mood to socialize and make some new friends. The music here stretches across all genres and periods.

Summer Place - Summer Place is a more trendy spot which means that you might want to get here early before the crowds come in. They have a wide range of drinking choices as well with both local and foreign options. The DJs here tend to play current bops that are sure to have you singing and dancing along.

These are just a few of the many places to drink and party in Boracay. You could choose one of these to start at and have a little pub crawl night out if you are up for it! But of course whether you choose to go out or stay in, either one is still a great option as long as it feels best for you!
DAY 2: Island Hopping
There are different island combinations that you can try for your island hopping adventure. It is always great to explore different areas of the island and those surrounding it. Since there are many variations of island hopping tours, here are some islands that you should definitely keep on your list.
Puka Beach
Puka Beach definitely lives up to its name. As you walk around you will be greeted by many local stalls selling some beautiful puka shell jewelry and even household items that serve as great pasalubong and souvenirs from your trip.
We would say that your trip to Boracay isn’t complete without taking a visit to Puka Beach even if it is the only island that you visit around Boracay. It is much more quiet than Boracay’s White Beach but just as beautiful.
Carabao Island
Other island hopping tours also match Puka Beach with Carabao Island. Carabao Island is a bit farther from Boracay with a 40 to 45 minute boat ride, but it has a lot of fun features in it if you want a little bit of everything. First off it’s as good a place as any to just laze around the beach and work on your sun tan. When you feel like moving your body around more, it also has a water slide and its own cliff diving spot as well.
Carabao Island is also home to some mystical caves which you can explore during your time here. If you do decide to poke around the cave and take a dip in the cool pool hiding within, make sure to watch your feet because some of the rocks here may be quite sharp.
Magic Island
If you’re like Martin and just can’t get enough of cliff diving, Magic Island should definitely be high up on your island hopping list. Magic Island is a great spot for adrenaline seekers who love to cliff dive.
This cliff diving spot warms Martin’s Norwegian heart as it is one of the best diving spots he’s seen in the Philippines. There are 5 varying heights that you can jump from with 11 meters being the highest and 5 meters being the shortest.
DAY 3: Explore, Eat, and Enjoy
Since many things are located quite close to each other, it’s easy to do a lot in one day (if you wake up early, that is). Make the most of your last full day in Boracay and explore some more, eat all the good food around, and enjoy your last few hours on the beach!
Explore D’Mall
D’Mall is famous for being the center of Boracay. There are many lines of stalls put together all offering different beach essentials and goodies to take back home to your family and loved ones. You can spend a whole day there just checking out what each stall has to offer. Some of the stalls even have arcade-like games like shooting hoops.

Eat All You Can
Not only are there different shopping stalls in D’Mall, there are just as many food stalls. From savory meals to sweet desserts, you’ll definitely come out of D’Mall satisfied either from a great shopping day or a great eating one! Sometimes all it takes is a really inviting smell which will have you sniffing your way through the stalls just to find a delicious treat waiting for you to take a bite of.
If you want to take your food trip even more seriously, we also have a list of the top Boracay eats that you shouldn’t miss out on.
Enjoy Some Fun in the Sun: Sandy Sports
The Boracay White Beach is always bustling with life, people are always lounging on the sand or floating in the water, just taking it all in. But you can also be sure to find people having some active fun too. If you’re in the mood to move your body around and socialize, you can usually find people playing a friendly game of beach volleyball, soccer, and even ultimate frisbee. People here are usually very friendly, and teams are sometimes made up of people who just met each other, so all you have to do to join is just kindly ask!
Dinner and Rest OR One Last Hoorah
Since this is your last night on the island you might be looking for a solid last night. This could either mean eating a great last dinner on the island or having one last party before returning back to your regular routine back home. Maybe there was still one more restaurant you wanted to try or one more bar that you wanted to visit. Either way, have some fun for your last night (just make sure that you’ll be able to wake up for your flight back home)!
DAY 4: Bye-Bye Boracay
Sadly, this beach vacation has now come to an end. Although, depending on what time your flight is, you might still be able to squeeze in one more swim and/or one more trip down to D’Mall for any last minute shopping or snacking.
Hopefully you’ll be leaving Boracay with a lot of fond memories, feeling very relaxed, and ready to take on whatever is waiting for you back home!
Quick Tips
On Hand
Always always take cash with you. Some places accept card and online transfers like Gcash but it is always better safe than sorry. Keep your cash with you for purchases at smaller shops and for any environmental/entrance fees that you might come across during your trip.
To fully enjoy the beauty above and under the water, don’t forget to pack your sunscreen! Island life means a lot of sun, it is important to always protect yourself. It might be a good idea to keep a cap and pair of sunglasses on you always too. Also make sure to check that the sunscreen you do pack is reef friendly. You wouldn’t want to harm the aquatic life while swimming now, would you?
Drone Authorization
If you plan on documenting your stay with some epic drone shots, you may have to go to the mayor’s office and pay for a permit. They are pretty strict about drone authorization in Boracay. The last time we purchased a drone permit it was around Php 1,000, though do note that this was back in 2019.
Hidden Gems
If you want to spice up your itinerary even further and avoid the crowds, check out this list of hidden gems that are sprinkled around Boracay. These would make for great additions to your itinerary. There is a lot to see in Boracay, you might just be tempted to extend your stay to see them all!
CLAYGO [clean as you go]
Boracay has become quite strict with the beach cleanliness ever since they rehabilitated the island in 2018. No matter where you travel, it should always be standard to clean up after yourself as you go. Sometimes all it takes is less than 5 minutes to do your part to care for the environment and for any wildlife that might be living around that could ingest harmful trash. Let’s keep these beautiful places beautiful so that other tourists and future generations can enjoy them as much as we do.
Please also remember to be kind and respectful to the local community. These people were generous enough to let us visit their home, let us show them the respect they deserve.
